Who operates Retroline

Retroline is an iPhone and iPad app developed by Lumik. Contact hi@lumik.space about privacy or support.

Photos and drawings

With your permission, Retroline reads your photo library to extract contours, match your drawings, and display photos on the canvas. Images, asset identifiers, capture dates, contour data, and drawings are processed on your device. We do not upload your photos or drawings to our servers.

Full Access to Photos is needed to explore the entire library. Retroline does not modify or delete your original photos and does not automatically download photos stored only in iCloud.

Photo place names

If a displayed photo contains location coordinates, Retroline sends those coordinates to Apple’s geocoding service to obtain a place name. This request uses the photo’s stored location, not your live location. Photos and drawings are not sent with this request. Apple processes requests according to Apple’s privacy policy. If a lookup fails or a photo has no location, the location label remains blank.

Storage and your choices

Retroline stores a local contour cache to avoid rescanning unchanged photos. Place names are cached in memory. You can revoke photo access in iOS or iPadOS Settings. When Retroline observes revoked access, it clears its photo index and cache. Deleting the app removes its local data; your original photos remain in Photos.

No accounts, advertising, or tracking

The app has no account system, advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not operate a server that receives photos, drawings, photo locations, or app usage events from Retroline. Apple handles App Store purchases and may provide diagnostics according to your device settings.

Support and this website

If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them to answer your request. Send only the details you want to share; screenshots are optional. We keep support correspondence only as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations. You may ask us to delete correspondence by email.

These pages are hosted on the Lumik website. Website hosting and website analytics are described in the Lumik website privacy policy; they are separate from the Retroline app.

We will update this page if Retroline’s data practices change. The date above identifies the current policy.
